Everybody who knows my wife knows that we don't do laundry without finding seeds in her pocket, er pockets rather. . . . Here is a perfect example of how a plant transforms itself from seed to a sprout to food without even trying in three weeks. These are Nasturtium - Dwarf Alaska. The leaves taste peppery and tasted great added to our Spinach, Iceburg Lettuce, Tomato, and Onion Salad with Lime squeezed over the top. Enjoy. . . All of these pictures above were taken the same day as you can see the sprouts are at varying ages. They are of two separate sets of seeds started within a week of each other. I like to soak them in a damp paper towel wet with warm water. Helps germinate the seed faster. . . Delicious. Can't wait to see what the blooms taste like and it is said the seeds can be pickled and used as capers! One EDIBLE SEED. . . 365 days a year. . . Just DO IT!
